Communications and Member Services Director
Position Summary

This unique position consists of two major responsibilities – communicating effectively, and providing excellent customer service, to our members and the public. This individual will raise public awareness of Northwest Montana Association of REALTORS® (NMAR) and the good things REALTORS® are doing in our communities using a variety of communications methods. They will ensure that professional development opportunities, events and other industry news is communicated clearly and promptly to members. This includes maintaining a vibrant social media and web presence by finding and creating content to share. This individual will also be the first point of contact for members with inquiries, new applicants, and walk-ins, so providing exceptional customer service is a must.

Responsibilities include:


  • Promoting a positive and professional public image of REALTORS®
  • Managing website and social media, including content strategy and analytics
  • Implementing effective communication channels to inform and engage REALTOR® and affiliate members
  • Developing effective relationships with media organizations, create media releases and proactively seeking opportunities for media engagement
  • Planning events and coordinating meetings as the liaison to the YPN Committee

 Member Services

  • Helping new members with their application process, orientation, web access and lock boxes
  • Assisting walk-in customers and responding to general questions, aiding in problem solving, and addressing concerns promptly and effectively
  • Maintaining an accurate member database and promptly record all additions and changes 
  • Developing and improving affiliate packages to promote and maintain membership
  • Working to enhance logistics of all events that take place at NMAR, including planning, setup, registration, and audiovisual support

  • Fearless ability to confidently lead planning, coordination and execution of communications strategies, marketing, and social media
  • Strong written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, trustworthy, creative, and dependable
  • High understanding and ease with technology and social media platforms
  • Knowledge about the real estate industry is a plus

Education Requirements and Experience 
Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in communications or related field. A minimum of two years of experience in marketing and communications. 

The position is full-time with somewhat flexible hours and based in Kalispell, Montana. There may be infrequent work on evenings, but typically a M-F, 8-5 work week. Compensation for this position will be based on qualifications and experience, with a starting range of $15-$18 an hour. Generous benefits include flexible schedule, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays, health benefits, and Simple IRA with 3% match after one year of employment.
