Outreach

Advocacy

NMAR is an advocate for REALTORS® and private property rights.

  • We represent the REALTOR® point of view at Planning Boards, City Council or County Commissioners' meetings and work with other industry leaders advocating for the same outcome
  • We work to obtain grants to improve communities within our association boundaries
  • We educate our members on local real estate issues through our Government Affairs Committee, by hosting guest speakers and political candidates, and encouraging questions and open discussion

REALTOR® Day at the Capitol

REALTOR® Day at the Capitol is an event hosted by Montana Association of REALTORS®, typically every other year. It’s a great opportunity for our members, and REALTORS® across the state, to learn about and discuss important policy issues affecting the real estate industry, as well as hear from and network with their legislators.

REALTORS® Political Action Committee

RPAC was founded in 1969 to give REALTORS® a voice in the political process. The PAC’s funds come from voluntary contributions made by REALTORS®, and are used to help elect candidates who understand and support real estate industry interests.

Issues Mobilization Fund

IMF is used to promote public and member support or opposition for critical real estate issues (i.e., proposed laws or regulations). The major uses for these funds are media relations and various lobbying activities with a strong emphasis on public awareness. These funds can only be used for issue advocacy and cannot be used to support or oppose any state or federal candidate.
